Mark Brakspear a State Registered Nurse (General) and Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and holds additional qualifications including a B.S.c e in psycology and sociology. He also has extensive counselling skills supported at both certificate and diploma level.

Prior to establishing Fern Bank he spent several years working as a charge nurse within the NHS Acute Psychiatric sector.

Lorraine Brakspear is a Registered General Nurse and has extensive clinical nursing experience

Prior to establishing Fern Bank she spent several years working as a Nurse within the NHS.

Fern Bank Therapeutic Community was established in 1985 and continues to be a family run business.

Mr & Mrs Brakspear are both Registered Nurses who share an enthusiastic interest in caring for adults with Mental Illness. Both are well qualified to deal with the multiple physical and psychological needs of their clients.

Our core management team possess a combined level of over 100 years experience working within the field of care.
